About Us

Our Vision Statement

Little Me Play n Learn Centre's vision statement is to provide quality care, fun, crafty, and creative environment to all the children and families.

Our Program Philosophy and Goals

Our philosophy is that play is an essential component during the early years of a child's life. The need to imagine, create, explore, and discover is at the core of a child. Therefore, we use play as the avenue by which children learn to relate to others and the world around them.

Little Me Play n Learn Centre provides a safe, secure, and trusting environment in which children can develop and grow at their own pace. Creative and Stimulating activities are planned which encourage social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth and well being. Each child is encouraged to participate in a variety of activities, but each child's choices and level of involvement are always respected. We believe that all children deserve our respect and deserve to be treated with courtesy, dignity, and diplomacy.

Through our programs, we hope to enhance the learning opportunities of children and parents alike. Our program is based on the following goals
-
We offer child centered, open-ended, age-appropriate play activities to foster all areas of children's growth: physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and creative. We will also provide opportunities for children to make choices based on their activities and experiences in a controlled and safe environment.

-
To foster positive peer interaction and socially acceptable behaviour at age-appropriate levels and assist the child in expressing their thoughts and feelings in a manner appropriate to the environment and acceptable to others

-
To provide a program that includes and respects children of all races and cultures.

-
To provide a program that offers new opportunities and challenges for individual growth and for building relationships.

-
To encourage parents and staff to work cooperatively for the benefit of the children and to foster open, honest communication between parents, children, and staff.

-
To use only fair and appropriate behaviour guidance strategies, understanding the individual needs of each child and family; providing support and encouragement and positive reinforcement at all opportunities.

-
To professionally meet the needs of children in a caring and considerate manner and to openly communicate with parents, children, and management.

Our People (Staff)
